Introduction

Today, the large number of complex tasks and problems within the fields of economics can only be solved through a combination of means: economic expertise, the application of advanced quantitative methods and modern computing technology.
With this idea in mind CASE was created. It serves as an institutional framework, bringing together extraordinary high qualified researchers from the different universities and scientific centers in Berlin, with a background in statistics, mathematics and economics to find solutions for a better economic understanding.

We are happy to announce that Silke Hüttel is the newest member of C.A.S.E.

5th February 2012
The WiWiKom Kick-off Workshop entitled "Modeling and Measuring Competencies in Business and Economics" took place at the Humboldt University's Grimm Zentrum between 2 and 4 February. The event was organised to launch a new third-party funded project which examines and models education proficiency in three different regions.

30th January 2012
The DLS 2012 was a very successful event which attracted circa 100 participants and was hosted by two world renowned experts (Prof. Dr. Jürg Hüsler and Prof. Dr. Nassim Nicholas Taleb).
